The DeWalt MA60 Field Machete has an 18.25-inch black-coated sawback high carbon stainless blade at 24 inches overall in a black and yellow rubberized handle and a nylon sheath.
The sawback is the feature to understand, with the spine opposite the cutting edge cut into coarse teeth, so one tool clears green growth with the main edge and bucks through seasoned limbs with the saw, two jobs that need entirely different geometry. High carbon stainless is an unusual compromise for a machete, giving more corrosion resistance than the plain carbon normally used while keeping enough carbon to take impact, which suits a tool kept in a truck bed rather than wiped down after every use.
At 24 inches overall the blade has real speed at the tip, and the yellow makes it findable when set down in undergrowth. Explore more Machetes.
