The Higonokami Warikomi is a traditional Japanese friction folder with a dog engraved on the handle. Higonokami knives have been made the same way for generations with a simple, proven design. There is no lock, so the blade stays open by friction and your grip on the lever.
The blade is Blue Paper steel laminated between softer steel, known as warikomi construction. Blue Paper steel takes a very keen edge and is easy to sharpen. Keep it dry and oiled, since it can rust if left wet.
Press the extended tang lever with your thumb to open and hold the blade. A lanyard hole adds a carry option. It makes a unique gift for knife collectors and dog lovers. Compare it with the rest of our folding knives.
