The Icom HM228 is a compact, IPX7 waterproof speaker microphone built specifically for the M93D handheld VHF radio.
Its smaller footprint compared to Icom’s standard speaker mics makes it a natural fit for anyone who finds a full-size remote mic bulky on a PFD strap or jacket collar during a long day on the water.
As with any speaker mic on a handheld, it keeps the radio itself stowed while putting the speaker and PTT within easy reach, which cuts down on fumbling for the handheld in wet or busy conditions. Shop more communication accessories.
