The Mares Blue Water Travel Scuba Package is built around the Mares Magellan BCD, a travel jacket that skips the rigid backrest entirely so it folds down small and packs light for trips. Pre-shaped, contoured shoulder straps and a roll-up pocket keep it comfortable in the water, while a quick-release ballast system, compatible with the Trim Weight system on the tank strap, handles buoyancy adjustments on the fly. It’s built from Cordura 420 fabric with a standard weight pocket system and a mix of aluminium and heavy-duty Technopolymer D-rings, and it’s available in 2XS/XS, S/M, or L/XL to match your frame.
For air delivery, the package pairs the Mares Octopus Dual Adj Regulator with the Mares SXS Octopus Diving Regulator. The Dual Adj uses Mares’ Vortex Assisted Design for smooth, high-flow breathing and includes an adjustable inhalation knob you can turn even with gloves on, all wrapped in a lightweight technopolymer housing with a Superflex hose. The SXS is Mares’ smallest, most compact octopus, mountable on either your right or left side, with its own curved-bypass V.A.D. system and lateral exhaust tube for clear visibility no matter how you’re positioned.
Instrumentation covers both a console and a wrist option. The Mares Mission 2C combines a 300-bar manometer with a compass in a single shockproof console, angling the compass so you can read direction and air supply together. The Puck 4 Mission 3 console runs Mares’ Bühlmann ZH-L16C algorithm with customizable gradient factors and syncs dive data over Bluetooth, while the Puck Lite wrist computer adds nitrox compatibility from 21% to 50%, single-button navigation, and pairs directly with the Mares Mission console. Both computers use a user-replaceable battery rated for up to 100 dives, so you’re set for a season of diving before either needs attention.
