The Morakniv Basic 511 has a 3.5-inch carbon steel clip point blade at 8 inches overall, a black and tan synthetic handle and a black molded plastic belt sheath. Made in Sweden.
Black and tan is the muted option in the Basic range, where the red, teal and green versions are chosen to be found again. This one is for someone who would rather the knife not announce itself. Carbon steel takes a keener edge than stainless and comes back on a stone faster, at the cost of darkening with use and needing to be dried.
