The TACO Command Ratchet Hinges are a pair of 9-3/8 inch heavy-duty hinges in polished 316 stainless steel with brass bearings. They’re made for sun pads, bolsters and lounge backrests. Each hinge ratchets through up to four positions.
The hinges lock in 15-degree increments starting at 30 degrees and return to horizontal at 100 degrees. They handle cushions up to 4 inches thick. As a pair, they meet ABYC H-31 class B with a 250 ft-lb torque load rating.
They’re countersunk for 10 fasteners or 1/4-20 bolts and adapt easily to many applications. TACO sells them in pairs. Check the available mounting space and surrounding hardware before installation so a correct part number does not turn into a clearance problem. Browse more general boat outfitting.
